Trusting in the wisdom of your heart

There are a lot of things in this big old world positioned to persuade you off your destined path. Shiny things. Loud things. Things that sparkle. Things that promise instant relief from whatever fears you’re feeling in the moment. You hear yourself say, “Oooh, YES! This, this bright promise, over here, to the left!” Nevermind that you’d been traveling a path toward the right and feeling pretty darn good.

But. This path to the left is well-worn. It’s tattooed with the testimonials of the thousands of others who’ve walked this same road. Proof, to your logical brain & the fears that pull at your energy, that going right was the wrong way.

So, you stumble toward left. You find moments of YES. They feel good. Sometimes for a minute. Sometimes for years. You continue on, doing the things, the things others have done. Yes, doing these things made the others “happy.”

Yet despite the stories of success this path has brought others, you feel MEH. You remember to check in with your heart. You listen, but all you get is static. The path that felt so lit up with potential casts so many shadows. You begin to notice that those fears—those same fears that felt diminished by your sudden departure from destiny’s lane—they live here on this path, too.

This path, where you can no longer feel the sun.

And your heart, your ready, steady heart. It knows you’ve veered off course. It knows, and it does not judge. Because the heart sees the lessons in the glitter and the glam. It’s not mad. It hears your logical mind finding evidence that heart-based decisions can’t be trusted. It understands deeply just how deeply you’ve been programmed to fear the unknown.

Your heart beats on, confident you’re only one choice away from getting back on path. One choice, and the static will cease. One choice, and you’ll again be positioned to hear the ready, steady thump-thump of its wisdom. Your heart takes no rest. It needs no rest, because buoyed in its truth is this: What’s meant for you will always, always be yours.

Your heart is content to wait. It trusts you’ll soon be ready to make that next right choice. 💗
